Cave Rua is owned and maintained by Abby Dawson, Hinkley Baldwin and jemma Flora. 2 crazy Americans and a Brit. We have done the majority of building ourselves but many members of the Cave Rua group have helped out along the way. A big THANKS to all of you!
Cave Rua was started in the fall of 2004 when Abby Dawson purchased a small plot of land in the sim Rua and became friends with her neighbor Hinkley. When more land became available, Abby called me (jemma, I am the web master and find it difficult to talk in 3rd person) and we decided to purchase it. We had always done coral reefs, fish and grottos for our own pleasure and sold them in various places. Finding Nemo being one of our favorite movies, we wanted to try and create our own water world. Abby and I are not tech savvy and have no programming background or skills, it has been learn as you go, so we basically kidnapped Hinkley to help us out in scripting and we grouped our land.
Over the years we purchased the rest of available land and we have evolved into what we are today. It is in a constant state of evolution too as we try new techniques and experiments. While we do have a commercial area at the castle to sell our products, we are not big business. We are here for the fun and adventure foremost. The sales help with land tier and to have loose Lindens to buy all the cool stuff available in SL. You have to have hoochie hair and boots!
Our main goal is to provide a fun place in a relaxed atmosphere and share it with others. We are a pretty easy going group and we all have real lives that we need a break from now and then, so we intend to enjoy our Secondlife
