What is Second life? Easy answer? A virtual world brought to us by Linden Labs. In their words “Your World, Your Imagination™ – A 3D Digital Online World created and owned by it’s residents.” Is it a game? Is it a glorified chatroom? Is it a moneymaking opportunity? Is it full of controversy, drama and sex? Hmmm, these questions are pondered everyday…maybe you should decide for yourself as it is some of all the above just like the real world…
For me SL is a wonderful “game” where I can explore and create. I travel to lands I know that I will never visit in the real world… I can chat with old friends and meet new ones, or I can sit in my grotto and contemplate life. SecondLife is many things to many people but it is very hard to explain to someone who has not experienced it. When I talk about Secondlife in the Real World, I get a lot of funny looks…yeah, I get them in SL too but thats another story
